Spring in the Woods

I hope you're all having wonderful Easter holidays. I've been enjoying catching up with friends and spending time in Alexandra Park and Guestling Wood where the anemones were sprinkled over the woodland floor like fallen stars and above our heads tiny birds were chirping and trilling while a woodpecker knocked out rhythmic beats. When did you last go for a walk in the woods?

  1. I love woodland walks. I posted last week about my favourite 2 walks, a local one and then one near family up in West Yorkshire. This really is the best time of year to appreciate our woodlands with all the little flowers appearing and soon carpets of bluebells. Looks like you've had some nice Easter weather. It's not been to bad here , although wet and miserable today, but it is a Bank Holiday so shouldn't have expected anything else. Enjoy the rest of the break.

  2. Ooh, I'll come over and have a look! Our first week's forecast was awful but ended up being really lovely. This week we're getting the rain. Which is all good for the garden and allotment, not so good for 4 year olds on holiday from school!
